Adams awarded in Tigers’ win against Rockets!

The Kolkata Tigers after their last defeat have reemerged as winners again, this time against the Ahmedabad Rockets. They won a revised target of 85 runs with 8 balls still remaining from the stipulated 10 overs of the second innings. The Man of the Match was Adams.

The toss was won by the Ahmedabad Rockets who chose to bat first. The opening batsmen did not perform up to the mark and Hinds lost his wicket to Adams at just 8 runs and Martyn got bowled out by Hayward after his score of 4 runs. Goodwin came and tried to maintain the pace of runs coming in. he had company of Aziz and both players started to score. Aziz however could not hold on for long and left at his score of 27 runs. Goodwin too left after a few more balls and scored 16 runs. Sriram came and brought some good runs for the team. Jain accompanied him and these both went well till Jain left at 24 and Sanjeev came in. Sriram scored 52 runs and remained unbeaten till the end of the match.

It was when Das and Klusner had opened for Tigers that the sky started to thunder and it began to rain. The play was interrupted and a revised score was the target when the play resumed. Das made 17 runs and was bowled by Tamarkar. Klusner stayed put there with Jhunjhunwala who brought 15 more runs for the team. McMillan joined in after he left and now it was Klusner and McMillan who ended the match victoriously for their team.
