Chennai Superstars crush Delhi Giants easily!

After this superb win against the Giants of Delhi, the Chennai Superstars have now risen to position number two in the Edelweiss Series of Indian Cricket League. The match was a clear swipe with a crushing 56 runs that the losers got short of. Sathish and Harvey were the heroes of the match who got a clear win for their team.

The Chennai Superstars made a huge target of 181 runs for the Giants to chase which they did not seem to do much after they had lost their initial four wickets. This happened when the team score was just 64 runs. The three middle order batsmen could contribute just less than 50 runs. The lower order was swiped clean by Harvey easily when the players could not even leave the single digit scores. The team finished off at just 124 runs in the 18.4 overs that they played.

The team of the Chennai Superstars also had seemed to falter when they had started their innings earlier. The openers of the team, Vignesh and Harvey could not stay on the field for long and contributed just 17 runs in all to the target that was set. Arnold just ran short of one run and left when he was completing his half century. Badani who had played well in the last match, could just score 2 runs in this innings. Sathish managed to stay grounded and scored the highest runs, 62 in the innings and was accompanied by Saravanan and Bevan who scored 16 and 22 runs.

Some sure fireworks were seen from the winners this time. Let’s see what action is in store for the next back to back games in Panchkula.
