Giants limited to 103, Badshahs win inevitable!

This match that has again proved that the Lahore Badshahs are unbeatable saw a great performance this time from the bowlers of the team. The performance from the Delhi Giants was simply pathetic and unworthy of a win. Mushtaq Ahmed was awarded the Man of the Match for his superb bowling attack and three wickets that he obtained.

Ahmed always struck the right chord with his bowling at the appropriate time. Whenevr the Giants seemed to have slightly settled and unfazed, he struck and wham! He got a much needed wicket. It was his bowling that started the downfall of the Delhi Giants in the match.

Even in spite of winning the toss, the Delhi Giants could not make much use of their decision to bat first. The first wicket of the Giants was taken in the second over but the second wicket did not seem to budge. It was then Ahmed struck, in the ninth over that the team started to lose their important wickets. Mishra was the highest scorer with 33 runs and there was no other player who could even cross the twenties. As a result the team ended giving a target of 104 to the Lahore Badshahs.

The Badshahs have till now shown some superb batting and this match was one where nothing extra ordinary was even required. Imran Farhat lost his wicket in the second over but the match was in control of Imran Nazir who scored 60 runs and remained unbeaten. Humayun Farhat made 16 runs and lost his wicket but Hasan Raza supported Nazir well and added 20 runs to the score. With 31 balls still remaining in the 20 overs which were available, the team defeated the Giants by 8 wickets. This was certainly a clean swipe over the efforts of the Giants.
