Heroes lift Edelweiss cup, Razzaq Man of the Series

The consistent performance of the Hyderabad Heroes in both the final matches that took place was overwhelming and got them the win on the series which they truly deserved. It was a bowl out that decided who will win the match as the scores of the two teams were tied on 130 each.
The toss of the match was won by the Lahore Badshahs and they chose to bat first. It was only the first three players of the team that actually played or seemed like that they tried their bit. The rest of the team crashed under the bowling of the Hyderabad Heroes. The openers Umar and Nazir tried but could not get a jump start for the team. Runs were coming in gradually and Umar ended his innings at 13 runs in fifth over. Nazir and Farhat tried their best to cope up but both players were lost to the Heroes at 30 runs each. The team made a score of 130 runs to be chased by the Heroes.
When the Heroes came in to bat, the openers Maher and Razzaq finished up their innings at 19 runs each. Rayadu came in after them who tried to take care of the innings score and added 46 runs to the team score which gave a pump to the players and their morale. However rapid loss of wickets made the team struggle and the scores were tied at 130 runs.
A bowl out followed in which the Heroes got a lead again when they won the toss and bowled first. The Lahore Badshahs failed miserably in 2 out of three attempts and the Heroes scored 3 out of the 4 tried and won the bowl out easily. The Men of the Match were Ambati Rayadu from Heroes team and Hasan from Lahore Badshahs. Abdul Razzaq was awarded the Man of the Match with his consistent performance in the series. |
