ICL Match Reviews

Huge win for Badshahs, team retain top spot!

The match that took place in the home ground of Delhi Giants did not see the team do anything out of ordinary to save face. They encountered a defeat from the ruling team of the Lahore Badshahs which gave them a head on defeat by 8 wickets. The Man of the Match and the day was Mushtaq Ahmed who swiped off 3 clean wickets which were most important.

The win seems to have come in too easily for the boys of Lahore Badshahs who chased a target of 104 in 20 overs. The openers Imran Farhat and Imran Nazir came in to the field with full stride with the confidence to win the match. Already the target was not at all challenging for them considering their past performances. Farhat however lost his wicket in the second over at the score of just 1 run. The other opener however did not let the match go out of his control with Humayun Farhat as an accomplice on the other end of the strike. It was some overs after that Humayun lost his wicket but running kept coming in smoothly and steadily.

The team of the Delhi Giants had disappointed the supporters quite a lot after the ninth over of the match when the second wicket of the team fell. Runs were coming in slowly but there was steadiness in the game. But after the claim of Mushtaq Ahmed’s wickets, they kept falling very regularly. The highest score was 33 runs which were made by Mishra. The team had struggled to get some runs but at the end all of that went in vain with the defeat of the team by 8 wickets and with 31 balls still remaining.
