| Kolkata Tigers score against Ahmedabad Rockets!
The Kolkata Tigers have managed to win this match against the Ahmedabad Rockets which was interrupted by rain and was delayed. The target was revised according to the run rate and then the Kolkata Tigers won the match by 8 wickets with eight balls remaining.
The toss was won by the Ahmedabad Rockets and they chose to bat first which seemed to be the right decision till rain interfered and changed course of the match. Hinds and Martyn opened strike but could not go more than the single digits. However Goodwin came and managed to score 16 runs and gave some momentum to the team. He was accompanied by Aziz who scored 27 runs before falling to Ahmed’s delivery. Sriram was the player who seemed to think that he wanted to stay and score. He could manage 52 runs on 35 balls. Jain too made a considerable score of 24 runs and so did Sanjeev who scored 22 runs. The innings finished at 156 runs and this was not that bad a score.
The game of the Kolkata Tigers when they came to bat was obstructed by the rains. Das and Klusner came out to bat and open. It was during their play that the rains started pouring. After quite a long time, the rains stopped and the target was revised to be 85 runs in 10 overs. Das made 17 runs and got out to Tamarkar. Klusner continued with Jhunjhunwala and scored 30 runs. Jhunjhunwala made 15 runs before he got out. It was Klusner and Macmillan who took the team to victory and scored 86 runs with eight balls still remaining. Adam got the Man of the Match for his good bowling spell and one wicket and a maiden over. |
