Narrow win for Heroes, Razzaq's Performance Outstanding!

Date : 31st March
Place : Hyderabad

In the last of the league matches for both the teams, the Hyderabad Heroes emerged as winners against the Mumbai Champs by a narrow win of seven runs. The match had seemed to slip initially but as the ultimate time came up, the judgment of the better of the teams was clear enough. The Heroes have now acquired the second spot in the league matches.

The bowler-batsmen Abdul Razzaq played a superb innings in the match and certainly were no less when it came to bowling.  He scored 78 runs in the innings off just 57 balls. He also acquired three wickets in bowling out of which two came in the last over when it was necessary to limit the Mumbai Champs’ chances of scoring the required 21 runs off 9 runs. His Man of the Match was undoubtedly well deserved in all respects.

Earlier after opting to bat first, the Hyderabad Heroes witnessed a great partnership at the second wicket with a 121 runs stand between Razzaq and Rayadu. This got a good score for the team and this was a great let down for the part time bowlers of the Champs who gave away 64 runs in four overs.

The batsmen of the Mumbai Champs tried very hard to take on the score of the Hyderabad Heroes. Patil and Morris scored a half century each but the rest of the team players failed to make even small scores which could have got the team a certain win against the Heroes. The wickets that were taken by Razzaq in the last overs mattered a lot and failed the Champs in their purpose. The result was a disappointing defeat by 7 runs for the Mumbai Champs.
