| Superb Performance from Heroes Gets win over Superstars
In a match where adrenalin run may have been caused every now and then, we saw an overpowering performance from the Heroes against the Superstars. A seven wicket victory was the result of all the speculations and ideas that were being conceived about the match. And all of it was powered by the Heroes strikers Boje and Kemp who made 61 and 66 runs which were unbeaten till the end.
The Heroes chose to field first on winning the toss which elicited a different reaction from everyone as the trend was otherwise. However the Superstars began with a good start with Harvey and Vignesh and managed a partnership of 49 runs before losing their first wicket. Runs kept coming in the form of singles and hours with few sixes in the innings. The highest contribution was made by Harvey with 49 runs and Badani with 33 runs. The total score set up was 152 for the loss of 7 wickets.
With the dreadful start that Heroes made, both the openers Maher and Anirudh Singh were lost before the first over wound up with the superb bowling attack by Shabbir Ahmad. This was a major blow but the arrival of Boje made a difference and he had Rayadu to support him. But after scoring 16 runs, Rayadu too left leaving a shattered team. Then came in Kemp who managed to be on the crease till the end and a great partnership of 103 was witnessed. Earlier the run rate was slow but by the way the last 5 overs were played by Kemp who gave some great shots, the run rate was above 10. this amazing match was won with a winning six by Kemp which was a great beauty to see and the best way to end a wonderful innings! |
