Win for Superstars, fastest fifty for Vignesh
Another record for the keeps, the fastest fifty for Vignesh came up in this match when he scored it off just 17 balls. This broke the record of Chris Cairns and also got the team of Chennai Superstars another victory against the Mumbai Champs.
The performance of the Mumbai Champs has gone down considerably in this match and the victory seemed to be like a piece of cake for the Superstars. The Champs won the toss and batted first with Jadhav and Jayantha who opened strike for the team. The runs were coming in well for the team initially but after the time when Jadhav lost his wicket on his score of 28 runs, the team started to see a downfall. Wickets kept coming in very regularly after every couple of overs. The bowlers like Kumaran who had a four wicket haul did not let the players breathe easy. The team finished off at a score of 123 runs only.
The players Vignesh and Harvey opened the innings after the innings break for the Chennai Superstars team. Runs kept coming in very smoothly and easily with just one break midway which was the wicket of Vignesh who left at a score of 61 runs off 30 balls. Sathish however took his place well with Harvey and managed to keep the run rate steady. The match ended with Harvey making a score of 31 runs and Sathish at the score of 29 runs which was pretty fast off just 17 balls.
